What’s our benefeciaries say about Us

As a teacher, I've seen firsthand the devastating impact of violence on young girls. Many students come to school with stories that break my heart. Safe House's 'Safe Girls Program' has been a lifeline. They've provided workshops that empower our girls to recognize and report abuse, and they've engaged parents, too. I've seen a real shift in the girls' confidence and their ability to speak up. Safe House is protecting our future generation, and for that, I'm eternally grateful.

Aisha Abubakar

School Teacher

I initially thought Safe House was just for women facing domestic violence, but their work goes much deeper. My community was riddled with tension after a series of conflicts. Safe House came in and facilitated workshops on conflict resolution and peacebuilding. They helped us understand each other's perspectives, and we started working together to rebuild our market. They've shown me that true empowerment is about strengthening the entire community, not just individuals. They're helping us create a safer, more prosperous environment for everyone.

Emeka Nwakor

Business Owner

The legal system in Nigeria can be daunting, especially for survivors of violence. Many women and children don't know their rights or where to turn for help. Safe House's legal aid program is a beacon of hope. They provide free legal advice, represent survivors in court, and advocate for stronger laws against gender-based violence. Their work is essential in ensuring that justice is accessible to those who need it most. They're not just providing legal aid; they're restoring dignity and empowering people to reclaim their lives

Working in healthcare, I see the long-term effects of trauma on individuals and families. Safe House's focus on psychosocial support is critical. They provide counseling, mental health services, and support groups that help survivors heal from the inside out. They understand that physical safety is just one part of the equation; emotional and mental well-being are equally important. Safe House is providing holistic care that transforms lives and strengthens our communities. Their work is invaluable.
